UPDATE: Elk River Road reopen in Clendenin after crash

No one was hurt late Friday afternoon in a one-car accident in the 1300 block of Elk River Road, but the driver suffered a medical emergency, firefighters at the scene say.

The crash blocked the southbound lanes of the roadway. The driver was headed north before crashing on the other side of the road.

Crews with the Clendenin Volunteer Fire Department closed both lanes as they pulled the vehicle from the side of the road.

The driver refused treatment at the scene, firefighters tell WSAZ.

The road is back open at this time.
