HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Allegiant Air will soon offer a new flight to the Florida Panhandle.
The new service from Huntington Tri-State Airport to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport beginning June 6. Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport is located within Eglin Air Force Base, near Destin and Fort Walton Beach in Okaloosa County, Florida
According to a news release, the new fare could be as low as $49 each way.
“We’re very excited to announce this brand new service from Huntington,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “We’re sure area travelers will take advantage of our friendly, nonstop, ultra-low-cost service to enjoy all that the Emerald Coast has to offer.”
The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly.
“Destin is going to be an exciting new route offered out of HTS where people can go to relax on the white sandy beaches of the Florida panhandle,” said Brent Brown, HTS airport director. “Folks from all over the Tri-State region will now be able to take advantage of an affordable nonstop flight to one of Florida’s most beautiful locations in the gulf.”
