Update: Lockdown lifted at Ashland elementary school

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The lockdown has been lifted at Crabbe Elementary School, Ashland Police report.

Officers spoke with several people, and officers didn't see anyone with a gun.

Earlier Tuesday afternoon, someone called 911 reporting someone walking with a long gun near the school, located in the 500 block of 17th Street.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Crabbe Elementary School is on lockdown early Tuesday afternoon after reports of someone with a gun, the Ashland Police Department reports on social media.

It was reported just before 1 p.m. Tuesday when someone called 911, reporting someone "carrying a long gun near the school."

Ashland Police officers are on the scene, which is located in the 500 block of 17th Street near Ashland Central Park.

No actual threat was directed toward the school.
