A man has been arrested in connection with a murder that happened last month in Ashland.
George Michael Slone is charged in the murder case of Phil Marzetti, 65, who was found dead last month in his home on Auburn Avenue when officers responded to a welfare check in Ashland, Kentucky.
George Michael Slone, 49, of Ashland, was arrested last week in Lexington on warrants out of Boyd County. According to information from the Fayette County Jail, Slone was arrested by University of Kentucky Police.
Slone is charged in the case of Phil Marzetti, 65, who was found dead last month in his home on Auburn Avenue when officers responded to a welfare check.
Investigators say Slone also lived in the home.
According to information from the Fayette County Jail, Slone faces a murder charge, as well as third-degree criminal trespassing. His bond is $250,000.

Ashland Police officers are investigating the death of a man.
Police responded to a home on Auburn Avenue to check on the welfare of a resident Sunday.
They say they found the resident, Phil Marzetti, 65, dead.
Officers say they found evidence of foul play.
A person of interest has been found, according to Ashland Police.
No other information has been released.
