Barn destroyed by fire, several animals killed
RACINE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A barn was destroyed by fire overnight in Racine, Ohio and several animals were killed.
The fire happened on Manuel Road.
Family members tell WSAZ the fire started sometime between 12 a.m and 4 a.m.
Ian Wise with the Racine Fire Department tells WSAZ by the time they got on scene around 7 a.m., the barn was already destroyed.
Family members tell WSAZ they run D&J Club Pigs.
More then a dozen pigs, two cows, several dogs, chickens and ducks died in the fire.
A number of those pigs were to be taken to local fairs.
The family also lost several pieces of equipment and tools.
The cause, at this point, has been ruled undetermined.
One dog did survive.
