Kayakers discover body of man in Kanawha River

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are investigating after the body of a 25 year-old-man was found in the Kanawha River Thursday evening.

Kayakers made the discovery around 7:30 p.m. in the Kanawha City area behind Lowe's on MacCorkle Avenue.

Charleston police say no foul play is suspected.

No other information is being released at this time.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The body of a male has been found in the Kanawha River.

It was found just after 7:30 in the Kanawha City area.

According to the Charleston Police Department, there is no foul play suspected.

Charleston Police along with the Charleston Fire Department responded to the scene.
