Car accident puts van into business, driver arrested

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been arrested Thursday after a car accident that sent a van into a building.

According to HPD, the driver told police his tire blew and caused him to go into the parking lot of a business in the 800 block of Norway Avenue.

The accident happened Thursday morning.

The car the man was driving hit a van that was parked in the lot and went through the glass wall of the business. Another van in the lot was also hit.

The van that went through the business belongs to employee there, according to HPD. The employee was inside working at the time of the crash.

Police tell WSAZ they found marijuana on the driver and that he didn't have a drivers license or insurance. Charges are pending, according to HPD.
