Car fire near Kenova exit of I-64 shuts down road temporarily

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A car caught fire on I-64, causing the road to be shut down there temporarily.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday near the Kenova exit on the eastbound side of the road.

According to crews on scene, the vehicle was abandoned by the time they arrived.

The driver is still unknown at this time.

Traffic was stopped while crews fought the fire, but one lane has now been opened.
