Carol Miller announces candidacy for U.S House

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The race to represent West Virginia 3rd district in the U.S House is heating up.

Carol Miller (R) announced Thursday she will be running for the seat left vacant by Evan Jenkins.

Miller made the announcement at Ritter Park.

She is currently a member of the West Virginia House of Representatives.

Miller is the majority whip in the W.Va. House.

Huntington Mayor Steve Williams announced his intentions to run for the seat on the Democratic side earlier this week.
