UPDATE: Crash closes U.S. 460 in Pike County, Kentucky

UPDATE 11/23/2017 @ 6:50 a.m.

WSAZ has learned US 40 will stay closed for another 7 hours.

Officials are having trouble due to the tractor trailer being loaded when it went over the embankment.

The crash also brought down power lines.

AEP workers are on currently on scene.

ORIGINAL STORY 11/23/2017 @ 4:00 a.m.

A traffic alert in Pike County, Kentucky, after a tractor trailer crashed after 3 a.m. Thursday.

A Kentucky State Police dispatcher told WSAZ that the crash happened on U.S. 460 at mile marker 2. This is near the Shelbiana Bridge.

The KSP dispatcher said there weren't any serious injuries, but U.S. 460 could be closed awhile.
