KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- It was a chilly Wednesday but that didn't stop a crew from cleaning up flood debris in Kanawha County.
Members of the Human Resource Development Foundation were gathered on the Big Sandy Creek off Thorofare Road in Clendenin.
The West Virginia Division of Highways pulled all of the debris out of the water and from under the bridge but crews Wednesday were cutting it up and getting it out of there.
"Even you know some of the community neighbors and stuff, they come out and thank us for what we're doing. I don't consider it work. I enjoy this, the guys enjoy it. It's an opportunity to give back to the communities in Kanawha County," said Shannon Robinson with the Human Resource Development Foundation.
The debris started piling up back in the June 2016 flood.
The group is helping with clean ups in 18 counties across the state.
