Deputies: Man arrested for possession of meth

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ)-- A man was arrested after deputies say they responded to a call about a man hanging around the yard of a home with a long metal object.

Vinton County deputies say a caller spotted a man in the front yard of a home on Sunday.

The caller told deputies the man later went behind the residence and was looking at the back entrance of the home.

Investigators say the caller then followed the man outside and that the man then tried hiding from the caller in some trees.

When deputies arrived at the home they could not find the man.

Investigators say some time later, a deputy was driving near Frazee Lane when he spotted John W. Swanson standing under a tree.

Swanson matched the description the caller given to deputies.

Deputies found a drug paraphernalia on Swanson along with meth and marijuana.

Swanson was taken to the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Swanson faces charges for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
