UPDATE | Two arrested after crash leads to stabbing

A tractor-trailer driver was stabbed Monday by another trucker at TA Truck Service in Teays Valley, Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies say in West Virginia.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – UPDATE 5/7/19 @ 10 a.m.
Deputies say a minor crash in the parking lot of TA Truck Service in Teays Valley led to a stabbing.

According to Putnam County Sheriff's deputies, when they arrived at the scene they found a man who had been stabbed in the stomach and leg.
At that time, Matthew and David Threlkeld were taken into custody.

During the fight, deputies say both Threlkeld’s physically attacked the victim, but Matthew is accused of stabbing the victim twice with a small folding-style knife.

Deputies say a search warrant was later obtained for the suspect’s vehicle. A folding style knife was found inside with what appeared to be blood on it.

Matthew Threlkeld of Greenbrier, Arkansas, has been charged with Malicious Wounding.

David Threlkeld, of Hazen, Arkansas, is now facing battery charges.

The victim was transported to CAMC Teays Valley with non-life-threatening injuries.

A tractor-trailer driver was stabbed Monday evening by another trucker at TA Truck Service in Teays Valley, Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies say.

The incident was reported around 6:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of state Route 34.

The injured trucker was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, deputies say.

It is unknown at this time what led to the stabbing.
