WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 4/13/18 @ 11:31 p.m.
The criminal complaint reveals new details about a murder in Prichard, West Virginia, including the fact that the son of the murder suspect is now facing charges.

Kevin Cyrus, 44, of Ashland, Kentucky, is charged with accessory after the fact which is a felony.

Cyrus' father, Patrick, is accused of murdering his neighbor, Kenneth Edward Davis. Investigators say Kevin was with his father when the murder happened.

According to court records, Patrick Cyrus and Kenneth Davis lived next door to each other.

During the investigation, Patrick told deputies in a recorded interview with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department that Davis stole a pressure washer from him a couple months prior to the murder.

Patrick says he and his son Kevin told Davis he had 48 hours to return the pressure washer. Investigators say Davis returned the pressure washer and apologized.

On Feb. 16, Patrick and Kevin Cyrus were drinking alcohol in the garage, according to the criminal complaint. Patrick told deputies the pressure washer came up in conversation and the pair became angry and decided to scare Davis.

Patrick allegedly put on a turkey hunting mask and Kevin allegedly wore a clown mask. The two walked up to Davis' home a little before 2:40 a.m. that day.

Investigators say Davis came to the door, but was scared and tried to shut the door. That's when deputies say Kevin forced his way in and tackled Davis.

Kevin allegedly held Davis down on the floor while Patrick hit Davis with what the suspect described as a table leg with lead at the end of it. Patrick told deputies he meant to hit the victim on the arm or shoulder to bruise him, but instead struck Davis in the head then ran from the home.

Patrick told deputies he threw the table leg into the Big Sandy River the next morning.

Following Patrick's interview, Kevin's attorney told officers he will cooperate with the investigation "and will give a similar statement of the crime," according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators say Kevin admitted to throwing the table leg into the river, not his father. The son was then charged with accessory after the fact (murder).

Kevin was taken to Western Regional Jail Thursday. He has a $200,000 cash only bond.

Patrick Cyrus was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder.

UPDATE 4/12/18 @ 12:35 p.m.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office have made an arrest in connection with a murder back in February in Prichard.

Patrick Nelson Cyrus was arrested Wednesday in connection with the murder of Kenneth Edward Davis.

Investigators say Davis was 53 years old and from Prichard. He was killed on Feb. 16. Deputies say his body was found at a home along Ferry Street.

Deputies say Cyrus was Davis' neighbor. According to a press release from the sheriff's office, the two "had problems in the past" and it appears there was an argument over a pressure washer.

Investigators believe that argument led to Cyrus and his son going to Davis' house to scare him. Cyrus allegedly forced his way into Davis' home then attacked the victim with a lead-filled object.

Cyrus and his son are accused of then running from the scene.

The weapon has not been found.

West Virginia State Police, the Wayne County Drug Enforcement Unit, and the U.S. Marshal Service assisted in the investigation and arrest.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
