UPDATE | Name of driver in South Point DUI crash released

SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 6/1/19 @ 7:08 p.m.
The name of the drunk driver troopers say crashed in to a home in South Point late Friday night has been released.

Ohio State Highway Patrol says Christopher Heaberlin, 31, of Ironton is facing charges after he crashed in to the home on the 2800 block of County Road 1.

Troopers say the people living in the home were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but are doing okay.

The crash caused significant damage to the home.

One person was arrested after driving into a home in South Point.

Ohio State Police said it happened just after 11 p.m. Friday on County Road 1.

One person in the home was taken to the hospital for observation, but there is no word on their condition.

The driver is being charged with DUI, but troopers have not released that person's name.
