Norway Avenue in Huntington back open after fallen tree

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATED STORY 2/13/2019 @ 4:01 a.m.

Part of Norway Avenue in Huntington where fallen tree blocked part of the road Tuesday night is back open.

That's according to Cabell County Dispatchers.

It happened in the 600 block of Norway near the intersection of Forest Road.

A fallen tree has blocked part of Norway Avenue Tuesday night, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

It was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 600 block of Norway. That's near the intersection of Forest Road.

Both lanes are blocked in that area. Huntington Fire and Huntington Police crews are on the scene, and an AEP crew is expected to be there at anytime.

As of 10 p.m., the road remains closed. Dispatchers say it may be a while before it reopens.
