UPDATE: Names of Hernshaw crash victims released

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WV METRONEWS)-- A collision on a rural road in eastern Kanawha County Friday left two dead and two injured.

John Cantrell, 43, and Debbie Dunfee, 49, were killed in the crash on Lens Creek Road near Hernshaw according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department. John Cantrell was driving one of the vehicles and Dunfee was a passenger in his vehicle. A second passenger was injured and taken to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A cause for the wreck remains under investigation.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Lens Creek Road in Hernshaw has reopened following a fatal crash Friday afternoon.

Metro 911 dispatchers say two people died in the crash and two more people are injured.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office and the Marmet Fire Department responded to the scene about 4 p.m. Friday.

No other information is being released at this time.
