Fire destroys house; knocks out power in Chesapeake, Ohio

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A fire destroyed a vacant house along the 400 block of Rockwood Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Fire officials say the building has been vacant for a long time and no one was injured.

The utilities have been cut off from the building leaving firefighters questioning what may have caused the fire.

The fire actually burned several power lines near the house, leaving several nearby homes without power.
