Fire heavily damages home

Fire heavily damaged a home early Thursday morning in Kanawha County.
The fire was in a home in the 5000 block of Rockdale Dr. in Cross Lanes about 3:30 Thursday morning.
Firefighters say no one was home. There were flames visible when they arrived on scene, but they were able to knock the fire down quickly.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is unknown.
