Firefighters are battling an early morning house fire in Huntington.

Cabell County 911 received the call at 5:44 Monday morning of a fire near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Elaine Court.

Officials say the home is abandoned and no utilities are attached.

The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived. They say the roof has collapsed and one of the walls on the north wall is bowing out.

Firefighters say they have not been able to get inside the home to see if it looks like anyone has been living inside of it.

Three fire stations are on scene, and a fire marshal is on the way to assess the damage.
