Five fire departments respond to fire in Jefferson

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Five fire departments were called to put out a fire Monday night at a building in Jefferson.

The fire broke out at a vacant building along the 800 block of Hampshire Drive around 11:15 p.m. Monday night.

Fire crews say the building was engulfed in flames when they got on scene.

No one was injured.

Firefighters were worried that the flames would spread to nearby buildings, however, they were able to get the fire under control.
