Five plead guilty to federal heroin conspiracy

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Five people have pleaded guilty to a federal heroin conspiracy on Monday.

Ralph White, Jennifer Benson, Rachel Kuhn, all 36 and of Parkersburg, and Dennis Carter, 28, of Detroit, entered their pleas to conspiracy to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.

In addition, Heather Wells, 25, of Parkersburg, entered her plea to distribution of heroin.

Wells, Benson, Kuhn, and Carter admitted to their involvement with several others to distribute heroin at various locations in Parkersburg.

Wells and Kuhn, as well as White, also admitted to selling the drug to a confidential informant on numerous occasions between November 2016 and March 2017.

White, Benson, Kuhn, and Carter all face up to 40 years in prison when they are sentenced in May.

Wells faces up to 20 years.
