Flashy new ride for Mason County Sheriff's deputies

MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Mason County Sheriff's deputies have a new mobile toy of sorts.

If you see a flashy ride that looks worthy of a Superhero, it’s the department’s 2011 Can Am Spyder.

Deputies will use the vehicle for parades, funeral processions, the DARE program and traffic patrol.

The vehicle was donated by the Governor’s Highway Safety program, and the department has had it since mid-August. If it looks familiar in the region, the Barboursville Police Department first had it as a police cruiser.
