UPDATE | KSP: Ky. man reported missing found
A missing man from eastern Kentucky has been found, Kentucky State Police say.
Danny Carrol, 66, was located Tuesday, troopers say. He went missing Sunday from the Russell Convalescent Home.
Details about where Carrol was found, as well as how he was doing, were not immediately available late Tuesday night.
Kentucky State Police have reason to believe that a Kentucky man who went missing Sunday might be trying to get to family around Grayson in Carter County.
Danny Carrol, 66, was last seen just before 1 p.m. Sunday at the Russell Convalescent Home in downtown Russell.
”He has family that live in the Grayson area of Carter County, and so that's where we've really focused our search,” KSP Trooper Bobby King said. “We believe he would try to go home and somewhere in a familiar area like that. So we're trying to search that area and talk with him.”
Investigators believe he was traveling on foot.
“We've been talking with the family, seeing if he's been trying to visit with him or come into contact with him,” King said. “We're just continuing to follow-up on any lead that we can get.”
If you see Carrol, you are encouraged to contact the Kentucky State Police at 606-928-6421 or the anonymous tip line at 1-800-222-5555.
A Golden Alert has been issued for a missing man from Kentucky.
