UPDATE: Two charged after 'high-risk' searches of two homes
Huntington Police say two people are facing charges after two homes were searched near Marcum Terrace.
Melvin Jones, 32, and Molly Hart, 25, both of Huntington, have been charged after guns, drugs and cash were found at the homes in the 300 block of Olive St.
Detectives believe that these locations may have been connected to several overdoses that occurred in recent days.
Detectives found about 65 grams of heroin, Xanax pills, cocaine, marijuana and four firearms.
Child Protective Services was contacted and took immediate custody of two children inside the residence.
The City of Huntington’s Code Enforcement Unit posted “do not occupy” orders on both residences until the property owner is contacted about the conditions of the homes and the presence of drug activity at both locations.
Jones is charged with possession to deliver a controlled substance.
Hart is charged with conspiracy.

Police say two small children were found inside one home during the raid in the 300 block of Olive St.
Officers say dope and guns were found during the raid.
Child Protective Services were on the scene to care for the children.
Police say they had been getting calls on the houses for a while and they had connected multiple overdoses to these houses.
According to officers, the houses are considered "ground zero" for most of the drug activity going on at Marcum Terrace.
The names and charges of the the people placed in custody have not been released at this time.
