High water closes roads in Gallia, Meigs, and Vinton Counties

GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Several roads in Gallia County are closed because of high water, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

They include SR 141 between the Lawrence County line and SR 233, SR 325 between US 35 and SR 160, SR 325 between SR 160 and the Meigs County line, SR 554 between SR 325 and SR 160, and SR 850 between SR 588 and SR 554.

SR 160 between SR 554 and the Vinton County line is also restricted.

In Meigs County, SR 124 between SR 325 and SR 7 is closed, and SR 143 between SR 7 and SR 684 is also closed.

Several roads are closed in Vinton County, too.

They include SR 328 between SR 93 and SR 56, SR 349 between the Jackson County line and SR 160, and SR 356 between US 50 and the Athens County line.

In Kentucky, Catlettsburg is installing flood gates at 20th and Center Street Wednesday morning, according to Emergency Management.

Emergency Management asks that you use alternate routes until further notice.
