Home still standing after fire in Spencer

The house fire happened just after 5 p.m. on Parkersburg Road in Spencer, West Virginia.

SPENCER, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Fire crews in Roane County were able to save a home Tuesday night that caught fire.

It happened just after 5 p.m. on Parkersburg Road in Spencer.

A spokesperson with the Spencer Volunteer Fire Department told us that the home is still standing, but there is quite a bit of smoke damage.

The family wasn't home when the fire started. No injuries were reported.

There is no word on a cause at this time.
