Interstate 77 North is reopen Thursday afternoon after a deadly crash involving an SUV and a DOH mower, WV 511 shows.
It had been closed several hours after two people in the SUV died.
According to WVDOH, a mower was traveling on the shoulder of I-77 North and was hit by a SUV which caught fire. It happened around 10 a.m., just north of the Kenna exit.
The DOH operator has been taken to the hospital.
The worker was alert but has a serious head injury.

Two people have died after an accident involving a SUV and a DOH mower.
WVDOH says both of the victims were found in the SUV.

A passenger vehicle collided with a state Division of Highways mower Thursday morning on Interstate 77 in Jackson County, the DOH said.
It happened just north of the Kenna exit in the northbound lanes at around 10 a.m. The car burst into flames after the collision.
There were initial reports from the scene that someone in the passenger vehicle died. The DOH worker was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Both northbound lanes are expected to be closed for several hours.
Traffic is being detoured off the Kenna exit.
Drivers will need to be prepared to make a detour along the interstate in Jackson County.
As of Thursday at 10:30 a.m., both northbound lanes of I-77 were closed at mile marker 128 for an accident.
That's between Kenna and Fairplain.
Drivers are being detoured at the Kenna exit at mile marker 124.
No word on injuries at this time.
