Kanawha County deputies investigating multiple break-ins
SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After multiple reported crimes, several neighbors are on high alert in Kanawha County.
Deputies tell WSAZ they're working on cases along Call Road. A business and a home were broken into recently.
Other people in the community say the problem isn't just on that stretch.
"You feel violated. You really do. It's the strangest thing," Joyce Ellis said Wednesday. Just the day before, Ellis' home was broken into.
The Ellis family lives in Sissonville and operates an insurance agency. Joyce Ellis first learned someone broke in when she got an alert from her security system.
When she got to her home, the damage was done. Someone broke through her backdoor, kicked in her bedroom door, and rifled through her drawers.
Luckily, Ellis believes the alarm system scared off whoever is responsible before they took anything.
"What they went through is not the big issue. It's the sense of security that you lose," Ellis said.
Deputies haven't released the name of the suspect or suspects in the case.
