UPDATE: ER in Charleston back open after water main break

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE: 10/22/2018 @ 6:09 a.m.
CAMC General's Emergency Room is back open after a large water main break Monday morning, per Metro 911 dispatchers.

According to Metro, the intersection of Brooks Street and Washington Street remains closed due to the water break. To get to CAMC General ER, vehicles will have to go west on Washington from Morris Street.

A large water main break has closed several streets and an emergency room in Charleston.

Metro 911 says CAMC General's Emergency Room is closed while crews repair a water main break.

Water is standing along Washington St. E in the area of Leon Sullivan Way to Brooks St., and Quarrier St.

Those roads are closed in that area.

It's unclear how long it will take to drain the water. Water crews are currently working on the problem.
