UPDATE: Longtime hotdog restaurant catches fire in Ripley

JACKSON COUNTY, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 8/8/18 @ 4 p.m.
A Tuesday night fire at a longtime hotdog restaurant in Ripley caused minimal damage, the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department says.

It was reported around 10:30 p.m. at Pete's Hotdogs.

The restaurant has been a community staple since 1994 and is located along state Route 21 in Ripley.

Several neighboring volunteer fire departments helped fight the fire.

Pete’s Hotdogs restaurant is on fire in Ripley, Jackson County 911 dispatchers say.

They say several firefighters and emergency crews are on the scene Tuesday night working to put out the flames.

No one was inside the business when the fire broke out; it was already closed.

Pete’s Hotdogs has been a community staple since 1994 and is located along Route 21 in Ripley.
