UPDATE | Man pleads not guilty to rape charges involving two 15-year-old girls

A man who faces several rape charges involving two 15-year-old girls pleaded not guilty Monday, according to the Athens County Prosecutor's Office.

Brandon Thomas Humphrey, 18, of Nelsonville, Ohio, was arraigned on five counts of rape and three counts of gross sexual imposition.

Humphrey is accused of "engaging in sexual conduct" with the teenagers without their consent, according to Prosecutor Keller Blackburn.

Humphrey's bond is set at $500,000. A jury trial is set for May 14.

An 18-year-old from Nelsonville, Ohio is facing several charges for allegedly raping and having unwanted sexual contact with two younger girls.

Officers arrested Brandon Humphrey Monday. An Athens County grand jury indicted Humphrey on charges of rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Humphrey is accused of "engaging in sexual conduct" with two teenage girls without their consent, according to Prosecutor Keller Blackburn.

Investigators say the suspect did this to one 15-year-old girl around July 3, and another 15-year-old girl around July 9.

Humphrey was arrested at a grocery store in Athens. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday to be arraigned on his charges.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office and Athens County Children Services are handling the case.
