PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is in jail after he was found asleep by the homeowner after the suspect allegedly broke into that home.

Stacy Foster, 39, of Frazier's Bottom, is charged with nighttime burglary and destruction of property.

According to the criminal complaint, deputies were sent to a home in the 1100 block of Mclane Pike in Red House after the homeowner called 911 and told them a man was asleep inside the home.

A glass door was found busted out, and the man was found asleep in the homeowner's bed.

Deputies then woke Foster up and put him in handcuffs.

Another glass door in the back of the home appeared to have a piece of firewood thrown through it.

The homeowner told deputies a stained glass window from the 1800s had the glass busted out of it.

The homeowner said he had never seen Foster before and had no clue who he was.

Foster was placed in Western Regional Jail on $50,000 bond.
