A man from West Hamlin pleaded guilty Wednesday to using Snapchat to direct a bomb threat at a local high school.

William McCallister, also known as "Kreekchub," pleaded guilty to threatening and conveying false information concerning the use of an explosive device.

McCallister admitted that he threatened to plant a bomb at Lincoln County High School on Snapchat and detonate it on Jan. 3 of this year.

He faces up to 10 years in prison when sentenced on Dec. 11.

A man has been indicted on federal charges for allegedly threatening to bomb Lincoln County High School in January, U.S. District Court records show.

William McCallister, also known as "Kreekchub," is charged with threatening and conveying false information concerning the use of an explosive device, according to the indictment.

McCallister made terroristic threats to place a bomb at Lincoln County High School on Jan. 3, West Virginia State Police said. He faces state charges of terroristic threats, obstructing, fleeing on foot, and assault of a police officer.

According to the federal indictment, McCallister made the threat by Snapchat.

A man has been arrested after he allegedly made a threat to bomb a high school.

According to West Virginia State Police, William McCallister made terroristic threats to place a bomb at Lincoln County High School on Jan. 3, 2019.

Troopers located McCallister at a home on Dillon Drive Wednesday. When they tried to arrest him, McCallister became aggressive. After several moments of struggling, McCallister ran out the front door and into a field, where he was taken into custody.

He is facing charges of terroristic threats, obstructing, fleeing on foot, and assault of a police officer.

He was also wanted for failure to appear in both Lincoln and Wayne counties.

He's being held in the Western Regional Jail.
