Man charged with first-degree murder

BECKLEY, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Ramon Edwards III has been charged with first-degree murder and 13 counts of wanton endangerment in connected to a shooting death.

Beckley Police say they responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of 2nd Street Wednesday night.

They found a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Police found Ramon Edwards III armed at the scene and took him into custody without incident.

Edwards is charged with first degree murder and three counts of wanton endangerment.

The victim hasn't been identified.
