"I love my son dearly, he's the only son I had,” the victim’s mother Priscilla Marcum said.

His mother and sister describe him as a hard-working, caring and athletic son, brother and father who was well-loved in his hometown of Williamson.

His mother, who is in remission after battling cancer, says that he had taken a class to try to be her home health worker.

As the family waits for answers, they're grateful that there are still good people in the world like Joe Miller who found Marcum and tried to help him.

"I just hope they catch him,” Miller said.
