UPDATE: Missing man's body found in Beech Fork Lake

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE: 9/30/18 @ 2:25 p.m.
A man's body has been recovered in Beech Fork Lake after it was reported that he fell out of his boat the day before.

West Virginia State Police say that they recovered a man's body in Beech Fork Lake Sunday morning.

State police were told Saturday that William Taylor had fallen out of his single engine boat around 5 p.m.

Another person in the boat told police she tried to help Taylor but he then went completely underwater and did not resurface.

State police along with the fire department quickly conducted a search Saturday night but the search was suspended until Sunday morning.

The fire department recovered Taylor's body around 9:30 a.m.

Investigators say no foul play is involved and that family has been notified.

A man is missing after falling off a boat at Beech Fork Lake.

It happened just before 5 p.m. in Beech Fork State Park.

Wayne County dispatchers say crews searched the area this evening but the search has been called off for the night. The search is expected to start again Sunday morning.

The man's identity has not been released.
