UPDATE | Police release name of Huntington shooting victim

A man was shot Thursday morning in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 2800 block of 5th Ave. in Huntington.

Police released the name of a man who was shot early Thursday morning in Huntington.

Huntington Police Chief Hank Dial says Alan Keeney, 24, was shot in the parking lot of a convenience store.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of 5th Avenue.

Keeney was shot in the lower right shin according to Dial.

Police say the victim is not cooperating. They believe the victim and shooter did know each other and had some sort of ongoing argument.

There is no update on a suspect or arrest at this time.

A man was shot Thursday morning in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 2800 block of 5th Ave. in Huntington.

The shooting happened just before 2:30.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a leg wound. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
