UPDATE | Charleston shooting suspects arraigned

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – UPDATE 6/19/19 @ 5 p.m.
Two suspects have been charged in connection with a shooting on Charleston's West Side.

Naquil Sayles and Jordan Kinney are both suspects in a shooting that happened June 14 on Charleston's West Side that sent a man to the hospital.

Naquil Sayles, 22, and Jordan Kinney, also 22, have been charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say the shooting happened around 2 p.m. Friday at the GoMart station along Washington Street West.

In the criminal complaint, it is states Kinney and Sayles fired guns at another man, Christopher Thomas, but hit the victim, Markale Foster, 23, instead. Thomas got into a verbal atercation with Sayles and Kinney before the shooting took place. Thomas' vehicle was struck five times, and Foster's vehicle was struck twice.

Kinney's bond was set at $200,000 cash only.

A second man wanted in a shooting last week on Charleston's West Side has turned himself in Wednesday, Charleston Police say.

Jordan Kinney, 22, of Charleston, is being processed and will be taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court for arraignment soon.

Kinney and Naquil Sayles, 22, both are suspects in a shooting that happened Friday at the GoMart station along Washington Street West. Markale Foster, 23, of Charleston, was shot in the leg.

A man wanted in a shooting last week on Charleston's West Side has turned himself in Wednesday, Charleston Police say.

Naquil Sayles, 22, is being processed and will be taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court for arraignment soon.

Sayles and Jordan Kinney, 22, both of Charleston, are suspects in a shooting that happened Friday at the GoMart station along Washington Street West. Markale Foster, 23, of Charleston, was shot in the leg.

Jordan Kinney is still wanted in connection with the shooting.

According to Charleston Police, Sayles is the same man who pleaded guilty in July 2014 to his role in the shooting death of Tymel McKinney, 18. He was gunned down at his home on Sixth Street on Charleston's West Side. Click here for more.

A murder charge was dropped as part of a deal for Sayles to plead guilty to the charges.

Two men are wanted for their roles in a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Police say Naquil Sayles, 22, and Jordan Kinney, 22, both of Charleston, should be considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. at the GoMart on Washington Street West on Charleston's West Side.

According to Charleston Police, both men are charged with being felons in possession of a firearm, malicious wounding and wanton endangerment.

According to Charleston Police, Sayles is the same man who pleaded guilty in July 2014 to his role in the shooting death of Tymel McKinney, 18. He was gunned down at his home on Sixth Street on Charleston's West Side. Click here for more.

A murder charge was dropped as part of a deal for Sayles to plead guilty to the charges.

Sayles was only 17 at the time of the crime. Since he is now 18, a judge could have reconsidered his sentence, but denied that motion.

The name of a man hurt Friday in a shooting on Charleston's West Side has been released.

His is identified as Markale Foster, 23, of Charleston. Foster is not cooperating with investigators, Charleston Police say. He was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital.

The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. near the GoMart station in the 800 block of Washington Street West.

Police say two suspects left the scene in a blue or silver Chevrolet Cobalt.

At least two weapons were involved, and more than 20 shell casings were found at the scene.

The victim was shot in the leg and taken to a local hospital. There’s no word on his condition at this time.

The suspect is described as a tall man, and there was a shorter man with a heavier build who left in the same car.
