More than 2,000 W.Va. AEP customers without power

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Thousands of Appalachian Power customers in West Virginia are without power Friday afternoon.

According to AEP's outage map, more than 2,000 customers are impacted.

These are the latest numbers as of 3:45 p.m. Friday:

Kanawha County | 500
Wayne County | 658
Raleigh County | 490
Wyoming County | 417

AEP says the cause in Wayne County is a scheduled company outage.

Estimated restoration is 7 p.m. for Wayne County and Raleigh County and 9 p.m. for Kanawha County.
