UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in accident in Lawrence County, Ky.; name released

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 10/12/18 @ 5:50 p.m.
More details have been released about a deadly motorcycle crash on U.S. 23, including the victim's name.

David Seaman, 32, of Greenacres, Florida, died in the crash, Kentucky State Police say.

The accident happened about 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lowmansville area.

Troopers say Seaman was headed north on a 2016 BMW motorcycle when he went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. He was wearing a helmet at the time.

Investigators say alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident.

It happened around midnight Friday on U.S. 23 near Joe's Carpet House in Lowmansville.

Crews say a motorcyclist was killed in the crash.

There is no word on what caused it.

The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.

The driver's name has not been released.
