CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A handful of Milton residents continued to deal with high water and a mudslide Friday.
A mudslide Thursday afternoon has covered Dry Creek Road in the Milton area
The mudslide happened Thursday on Dry Creek Road, just behind Blenko Glass. Residents say the road floods fairly often but never this long.
High water has kept Division of Highway crews from getting to the mudslide. About 17 homes are impacted by the issue.
One resident told us he has been staying in Huntington with his 2-year-old child and coming back periodically to check on his bedridden grandmother by using an alternate route.
He and other residents say they hope the water will recede enough soon to allow DOH crews access to the mudslide.
