UPDATE | Elderly woman killed in Greenup County fire

GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 11/16/19 @ 12:30 p.m.
Investigators have released the name of an elderly woman killed in a house fire Friday night in Greenup County.

Crews from multiple fire departments battled a structure fire along Ashbrooke Hill in Greenup County, Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say Louise B. Batchelor, 79, was found dead at the home along Ashbrooke Hill.

Troopers say her body was found in a guest building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, however foul play is not suspected.

One person has died after flames broke out in a home in Greenup County late Friday night, according to the Greenup County Coroner.

Dispatchers say the call came in around 10 p.m. for a fire along Ashbrooke Hill.

Crews from the Little Sandy, Russell, Flatwoods, Westwood, Summit and Ironville volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.

The victim is being sent to the medical examiner's office for autopsy and identification.
