HUNTINGTON, W. VA. (WSAZ) -- A new Goodwill store is collecting donations before opening it's doors this Spring.
The store on Parkway Drive in Huntington is set to open on March 31, but the store can open, it is in need of donations.
Saturday afternoon, with the help of the Huntington Prep basketball team and other volunteers, the store began collecting items and sorting them. The community is asked to drop off items at the Parkway Drive location.
According to the store's general manager, the new Goodwill will have a different feel than many of the others. She says the store will have a reused theme.
"I want people here to learn that there are programs here to help people and I know myself the obstacles that I've overcome to get where I'm at other people can overcome those obstacles too," Shelia Christian said.
