UPDATE | Name released of man killed in Putnam County crash

One dead after crash in Putnam County.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 5/24/19 @ 11:47 a.m.
The Putnam County sheriff has released the name of a man who died in a car accident early Friday morning.

Brandon Scott Stover, 22, of Winfield, died in the crash.

It happened just after 3 a.m. Friday on Route 35. The sheriff says Stover was driving south when his vehicle veered right off the road and hit two light support poles.

The crash was at the intersection of Route 35 and the I-64 ramp at Scott Depot.

One person is dead after a crash in Putnam County.

Putnam County dispatchers tell us one person died in an accident on Route 35 early Friday morning.

It happened around 3:30 at the entrance ramp to I-64 at Scott Depot.

The name of the victim has not been released.
