UPDATE 11/11/19 @ 9:25 p.m.

A man went to the hospital with facial injuries after being hit by a car Monday evening.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. along Corridor G near Hodges Road, which is located near the Ashton Place shopping plaza.

According to Charleston Police, the pedestrian was running across the northbound lanes, and the driver who hit him was not at fault.

CPD also said that the man who was hit appeared to be intoxicated.

A pedestrian was hit on Corridor G in Charleston Monday afternoon.

Metro 911 dispatchers say the man was hit near Hodges Road on Corridor G North.

The northbound lanes of Corridor G are shut down.

There is no word on injuries at this time.
