A woman is expected to be OK after she was hit by a train in Mason County.

According to an officer with the New Haven Police Department, the train hit a woman who is in her mid-40s. The train was moving about 15 miles per hour when it hit her.

It happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday near First Street in New Haven.

Police say the woman's injuries are not life-threatening. She was taken to a local hospital.

Investigators tell WSAZ they believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
