SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Teamsters Labor Management Cooperation Trust is looking to hire hundreds of people to help build pipelines in West Virginia and the surrounding area.

A Teamster National Pipeline job fair is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday (February 2-3) from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Teamsters Local 175 Union Hall. The union hall is located at 267 Staunton Avenue in South Charleston.

Anyone who is interested in construction truck driving employment or construction work can attend the fair.

The pipeline projects will be discussed in detail at the job fair and applicants will be able to look at project maps and routes to get an understanding of where work will take place, according to the news release sent by Teamsters National Pipeline Training Fund. Wages and hours will also be discussed.

"We have hundreds of jobs to fill in West Virginia and surrounding area and we are looking to expand our workforce quickly!” Mike Laborde, Training Director of Teamsters National Pipeline Training Fund. “Construction experience is useful, but we will help train you before putting you out in the field. We do not believe in setting anyone up for failure.”

Job seekers must be 21, have a CDL (commercial driver’s license) and must be willing to travel.
