UPDATE | Deputies have leads in Dunbar shooting

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 10/8/19 @ 5:30 p.m.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office has leads in a shooting investigation that took place in Dunbar Tuesday afternoon.

An investigation is underway after a shooting in Dunbar Tuesday afternoon.

According to a release from Sheriff Mike Rutherford, the victim said he was at his house on Isdale Drive with several people. He was an acquaintance of at least one of them. Rutherford said the victim was robbed by his visitors and shot with one of his own guns.

The victim tried to leave the scene to get medical attention on his own, but was spotted by first responders and taken to the hospital.

Investigators say the victim was shot in the kneecap, and they do not believe the injury is life-threatening.

Detectives started processing the scene for evidence and are conducting interviews.

One man is injured with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Dunbar Tuesday afternoon.

According to Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, the victim was shot in the kneecap and it was "just a graze."

The victim and the shooter knew each other. There is no threat to the general public.

The shooting happened in the victim's home.

Metro 911 dispatchers say the shooting happened in the 100 block of Upper Midway Drive in Dunbar.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
