UPDATE 4/28/17 @ 9 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman was holding a rummage sale in her front yard when she witnessed a shooting Friday afternoon.

"I don't understand why people have to shoot and kill each other over stupid stuff," the neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said. "It's crazy."

Huntington Police say the shooting was reported just after 2:30 Friday afternoon outside a house in the 900 block of Washington Avenue.

The neighbor who witnessed the shooting tells WSAZ she saw a black SUV pull up outside the home, saw a window roll down, and saw a shot fired from inside that SUV, hitting a man who was standing in the yard outside the home.

The neighbor said it appears the man was shot in the chest.

Police say a woman came out of the house and drove the victim to the hospital.

The shooting victim's condition is unknown at this time.

"It scared me to death," the neighbor said. "I saw a flash from the gun. Then I saw the smoke, and it stunned me. It scared me to death."
